Welcome to "The Unofficial Gembase Home Page".
Whilst being aimed at the promotion, and good use, of Gembase as a programming language, this site is
in no way officially connected to the Ross Systems Inc.
organisation.

Provision of the forum and guest books on this site is not to be used to post defamatory statements
or comment, any items of a pornographic, libellous, or otherwise offensive nature will be removed upon

The target audience of this site is Gembase developers who have some experience using Gembase and wish to improve their skills, share knowledge & experience, and promote the use of Gembase as a quality development language.
This page has been produced by independent Gembase specialists with approximately two decades experience of developing commercial software solutions using the Gembase language and development environment. Isn't the only way of learning that is better than learning from your own experiences, to learn from somebody else's?
The goals and ideals promoted in this site are intended as supplementary information on the good use of Gembase. Programming manuals are just a catolgue of nuts and bolts, the real skill in developing programs is to engineer a solution to the problem.
Whilst we build this site, learn where the back button on your browser is (-; The "bells and whistles" will come . . . later.
Take Note, Where you work may have standards and procedures which conflict with those used in this site. We do not in any way recommend that you ignore those standards and procedures. However, if you want to adopt, and adapt . . .
If you want to take and use any code samples, routines, or utilities you find on this site, then you are welcome to them - provided you leave any site and/or authoring credits unchanged. Oh, and don't pass off the code as your own, in part or in whole.
Support? Support ? SUPPORT!!! Suppose you want us to make the coffee for you too? If you've been paying attention you'll have noticed the site looks this way because we're busy people. So, the answer is no. Especially on anything that is posted in the forum. If we have no control over the code it may have been produced with the "Hey! The editor let me save it, must be okay." attitude.
Now, what are you still reading this for? No, there isn't a home or back button at the bottom of the page. Masochist are you? Bored? Okay, this IS the end of the content on this page, now GO AWAY!
Please note that this site is currently under development! Development was started on the 24th of February 1999, and will be an ongoing process. Check back regularly for updates to this site.
